Part Time Assistant Event Planner/Promoter 15.00/Hour

 

Interested candidates must live in the Antelope Valley or nearby surrounding areas and must be well-connected to the music/art/entertainment scene. We are looking for a person who is enthusiastic, energetic, detail-oriented, organized and motivated. An event planner/promoter assistant is essential in promoting and organizing events from start to finish. As the primary point of contact for events requiring planning, you will work under the direction of the venue owner to coordinate with performers, renters, and vendors, and will help to ensure that events run smoothly. Our ideal candidate will possess a natural sense of hospitality and can effectively fulfill the duties of coordinating events, handling venue rentals, administrative duties, building rapport and communicating with our business partners and the public, and oversee marketing and promotions. Our goal is to increase the number of events booked, and we hope you can help us get there!

 

Responsibilities and Duties

 

• Pre-event coordination-communication with clients, staff and vendors to determine event details. • Support the planning, preparing, and execution of events. • Administrative and office duties - answer phones, respond to emails, organize office operations, manage schedules, maintain calendars. • Create and distribute event listing pages on major social media platforms and on-line community groups. • Track event key performance areas and identify items to work on for future events. • Maintaining a working relationship with vendors and venues. • Understanding the complex needs of different events, and diverse clients. • Planning event aspects, such as tickets, seating, accommodations and guest list. • Attentive to the value of staying under budget while planning event specifications. • Managing and overseeing events on the day of, including problem-solving, welcoming guests, directing event set-up, communicating with staff, organizing vendors, and managing take-down. • Anticipating and planning for possible different scenarios. • Strong communication skills, and the ability to present event ideas and plans to clients and vendors.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

 

• Must live in the Antelope Valley, CA or surrounding areas. • Must be connected with the music/entertainment scene in the A.V. • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently. • Must be a good problem solver and intuitive thinker. • Ability to focus on details, prioritize & meet deadlines. • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable car. • Proficient in Google workspace (Gmail, Drive, Sheets, Meet). • Provide examples of successful social media marketing. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Must pass Live Scan fingerprinting • Flexibility with hours (weekends, evenings, holidays).

Must have minimum High School Diploma
